Any tips for teenage weight loss? (easy diet tips, exercise etc…)?
okay, so I’m 14yrs old, 5′ 6″…and weigh 180 something lbs. I am TIRED of weighing so much! I tried a diet for a while, and it worked….but I went off track and can’t seem to get back on and have now gained back all that I lost. I eat 100% whole grain bread and eat very healthy…but I guess my problem is eating too much too often.(my breakfast is always 3/4 cups of granola cereal or Kashi wheat squares. Lunch is usually an apple and a granola bar…but sometimes I forget my lunch or steal from my friends trays. My mom cooks the meals…so I have no control over that.) I tell myself that if I eat a big lunch or breakfast, I won’t have a snack later, but I always seem to end up have a snack and going overboard!!! I love fruit and most veggies, and unfortunately…carbs. Is there ANYTHING that I can do (without paying for any kind of diet program etc…) to help me loose weight? I can’t exactly go and buy some diet pills or anything or go to weightwatchers. I live in a VERY hilly area, and so it seems difficult to start out a daily running routine in/on such harsh terrain. I’m an extremely shy person and so I absolutely HATE going to the gym. Is there anything I can do to help me loose weight? I’m desperate here! (i want to do this the “healthy way”)
Is Acai berry really alright for 14 year olds? I mean…I’ve considered it… but i just don’t want ot risk it if there is any risk in it at all.

You seem to be eating pretty healthy, so congratulate yourself on that. Eating healthy is hard to do (for me, at least!) Try keeping yourself busy to avoid snacking. If you usually snack while watching t.v, or using the computer, find something else that will keep you busy. Ask your parents to buy you a fun workout dvd (maybe for your birthday ect.). Something that you’ll enjoy doing, like a dance workout. Talk to your parents about maybe enrolling you in a dance class, or boxing. It will help you lose weight and probably even help you build more confidence! Good luck!

okay so im not lookin for answers from a**holes an im not fat i just wanna lose weight withought starving myself like some people do ..

Eat 1500-1700 calories a day and work out for thirty minutes. Drink green tea because it boosts metabolism too.

I need to lose weight and need an easy diet plan to follow with two kids and not a ton of money to spend or hours to cook. Willing to take supplements along with just need something, anything!!!

Why do people think that weight loss is easy? That they can pop a pill and never break a sweat?
Im so tired of peole whining that they want to lose weight, which pill should they take.The key to weight loss is diet and exercise.If you work out, great!You have to keep pushing yourself or you won’t get anywhere.I just don’t understand why people think that it’s going to be easy to burn calories.Fad diets don’t work and neither do pills.Is that really so hard to understand?You didn’t gain the weight overnight, you’re not going to lose it that way.Let’s also not forget that yo-yo dieting hurts your body in the long run.But that’s all for them to figure out.Let the pill-poppers have a heart attack when their heart rate gets up too high.They have been warned.
I know all the reasons people think it’s easy like tv ads and such. I just don’t understand the psychology behind it. Why are we programmed in this country to want everything RIGHT NOW? Anything worth having is worth fighting for, IMO.

Hey hun….i think you have said whats been on a lot of peoples minds in this forum….i also think that a lot of people look at it as somethin’ like..oh i think im gonna loose some weight and see how fast it melts off…then get discouraged cause it doesn’t…i have learned from personal experience that weight loss is not just something to do for a few weeks and then drop it….its a commitment…even if you ever get to your idea body style then you have to keep working to stay there…it takes years of hard work sweat and sacrifice to get in great physical shape…there is no need in pills or creams or even low carb diets because your body will loose the weight if you will feed it right and get off your butt….in other words getting fit is NOT for the faint of heart….love daisy

Im turning 12 years old on August 8th.
I am 5 foot 1.
I went to the doctor and weighed 105 lbs in Early May and later every day at school id skip breakfast and lunch and eat a sandwhich as a snack after school and then dinner.
but now the scale says 115 =[
starving obviously does NOT work.
but eating the right about of food each meal does help.
i cant always count all the calories everyday.
but i run on a treadmill for 30 min. once ina while (maybe 5 times a month lately)
but im starting to run for an hour each morning on the treadmill (past two days), take a shower, and eat a late breakfast. then i eat dinner and sometimes have a snack b4 that.
i cant buy weight loss foods or pills. unless i can use some household pill to help.
my mom doesnt know i want to lose weight but she did overhear me on the phoen saying to my friend i think im fat.
im a size xs in hollister, and a size 0 in pants.
anyway i weigh 115 pounds and i want to lose weight.
help me?

Here is what I would do. Use an almost crash diet without feeling sick. Eat 3-4 times a day with only the right amount of servings of calories. Eat breakfast (cereal with whole grains, low fat milk, and fruit) ,lunch (turkey sandwich no mayo ,water, and even low fat chips) ,snack ( anything to get some fruit in like a low fat smoothie) ,and dinner ( meat , water , veggies, and a little potatoes). I lost almost 5 pounds in about 3days and with a little extersize you could lose 10 pouns in about 4 days. Hope it helps. P.S. Never go on the celbrity diet you will just get sick.
