Help me come up with a weight-loss plan for working out please? (10 points to Best Answer)?
Hey:
Okay, so I’m 14 and my sister is 12 and we both want to start working out; not just for weight loss, because honestly we’re pretty thin as we are and she’s even more slim than me. But either way, we wanna do it for the lungs and the heart; not to mention how powerful you feel post-working out. I wanna be in my mid 40′s and look back on this and look as if I’m in my early 30′s like Jennifer Aniston.
Anyway, we’re starting to do Pilates 2 times a week and the other 3 weekdays, we’re gonna work out at the gym for 45 minutes and then jog for another 45 minutes and then bike for another half hour. I want to work out 6 days a week, 2 hours a day.
Then, on Saturday, I might take up some yoga occasionally and I’m going to take a dancing class or just swim or do something to stay active. I’m thinking about either taking Sunday off or making it optional rather than mandatory. I want to be strict with my food, too; I want to eat 5 small meals a day and lots of veggies, fruits and drink tons of water. First, I guess I’m gonna start off as a thing that I feel I must do but I hoping the purpose of it will change through time and eventually, I will gradually feel it’s more of a habit and take it seriously and as importantly as brushing your teeth or heck even taking a shower! Bottom line, I wanna cut down carbs, not exceed my strict-policy, no-exception limit to 1,200 calories a day (if possible, less) and I’m gonna do lots of cardio, aerobics and weights.
Easy things like excluding some whip cream on my coffee, not adding a topping to my ice cream, eating protein without rice, and other things like that.
XOXO,
Thanks in advance. (:
PLEASE HELP ME COME UP WITH A PLAN URGENTLY AY-SAP!
And please don’t say I’m too young or any of that; I’ve heard it all before. If I wanted to hear that, I’d post this differently. Let me rephrase that: Just help me out, eh? With things that I consider helpful…not what you THINK will.
Thank you guys, I appreciate it…
I think the process is worth it and overall, I appreciate everyone’s concern and stuff…thanks for those of you who cared enough to answer =]

Admin answers:
First of all, DON’T GIVE UP CARBS…you’ree too young b/c you’re still developing and carbs help your body do just that. Instead replace bad carbs(most white products like white bread and rice and pasta) and replace it with whole grains and whole wheat. Those are good carbs that help your body function; the white carbs tend to be stored as fat. Also drink 2% or skim milk and dairy products. If you can find a food chart online, follow it b/c if you don’t need to lose weight then you really should be eating at least 1800 calories…technically 2000 but not everyone can stomach that much. A food pyrmid will make sure you’re eating the right amount of foods so that you can have the best potiental for development(in all areas; brain, eyes, teeth, even reproductively…the amount you eat deals with all of that).
You have a really good workout routine already. Like you seem to have everything already planned out perfectly so I don’t exactly understand what you need help on but I only suggest that you do take a day off b/c as you workout you”re putting your body under a lot of stress and you need at least a day for it to heal. When at the gym, the ellipitical is great and so is the bike and steps. Try a few things out and see what you like the most(You can probably also get someone to help you out a little with exactly a plan) Remember to stretch before and after all your workouts!

Joseph asks…
Can someone make a weight loss plan for me? (POiNTS FoR BEST ANSWER!!!!)?
Hi, thanks for looking at my question. My name is Autumn and I’m 18 years old. My issue is that I’m sick and tired of being overweight. I have many reasons to lose weight and I am finally ready to get going. I have tried so many diets which have failed. I really need someone to break it down for me and show me how to lose weight…I need a weight loss plan. I just really would like someone to tell me what I should be eating and doing for exercise.
OTHER INFO:
I need to lose 50 pounds in 2-3 months. (I know this is extremely hard, but it is possible.) I just don’t know what I should exactly be doing to acheive this goal. I currently weigh 238 and I am 5’7.
I have a gym membership at ballys.
I would like my meal plan to consist of easy to prepare foods, preferrably microwaveable frozen foods and canned foods as well as fruits/veggies.
Basically, I need a meal plan and exercise plan for the gym so I can lose 50 pounds very quickly….I need an INTENSE, hard to follow weight loss plan since I need to lose a drastic amount of weight quickly.
THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYBODY! SORRY ABOUT THE LONG INTRO..

Admin answers:
I’m far too tired to break it down into the specifics, but I will give you a basic overview.
The minimum calorie intake a person must have is 1200 calories a day. So from now on, start cutting around 200 calories a day until you reach 1200 and absolutely NO LESS. Do not starve yourself as that is extremely detrimental to the entire process. Basically the sweet spot, calorie wise, is 1200-1500 calories per day. That said, ditch all the junk food, no dessert, no ice cream, no soda, no candy, no white rice, no white bread, NO JUNK FOOD. PERIOD. (Diet soda contains 0 calories, but its still horrible for you)
Drink water! For your weight, you should probably be having over 12 glasses a day as indicated from this article: http://www.shapeupshop.com/weightloss/water-weight-loss.html
Read it.
Exercise. If you want to lose 50 pounds, that means you cant go walking. RUN. 30 minutes a day minimum, best in the mornings before breakfast. Breakdown of that 30 minutes: 15 minutes warmup (light jog speeding up to medium run), 15 minutes cycle (2 minutes light jog, 30 seconds sprint), walk a lap or two to warm down. However, i strongly suggest you run not only on a track, but be careful not to overwork yourself, as you may develop stress fractures, if you are not used to running. Lifting itself will not burn very much fat, but increasing muscle mass will help keep it off. For now however, i suggest you ditch the gym for some good old cardio such as jump-roping and running until you are around 180 before you start hitting the gym and pumping weights.
If you are actually intent on losing that 50 lbs, you’ll stick to the basic outline I gave you EVERY DAY. No breaks, no days where you can eat anything you want. If you can follow it through, you’ll see dramatic results. Best of luck to you.

Hi. I’m going to start a weight loss program, but don’t know which one to do. Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers?
I know with both plans you have to be committed to it, but which one is easier? And does weight watchers offer pre-packaged meals? How much weight can you lose in two months with either plan?
Thank you in advanced!

Admin answers:
I did Jenny Craig and it is a good program, but very expensive. I spent approximately $400 a month on food, not to mention the extra I spent on the veggies and fruit I had to eat. Weight watchers does have some pre-packaged foods, but it also works with food you can make yourself. If I had it to do all over again (and I need to lol) I will be going to Weight watchers so that you can actually learn to eat right, not just pick a package out of the freezer and eat. JC you don’t have a lot of choices of food and it gets boring. I did it for 6 months and lost 40 lbs. But, you need to exercise or else you will plateau and that gets discouraging

Well yeah i am 5’5 and i used to weight 160 and now i weigh 110. I played ps2 ddr and ate healthy.i lost weight before i knew it.Now there is zumba,mj experience, dance central ect…. You can use those games as well its not boring like lifting weights or walking on a tread mill. I played 1-3 a day or every other day and NOT on workout mode! (game mode you sweat faster and more fast paced). I ate fruits veggies meat(not red meat) stuff like that not packaged with preservatives i also ate canned fruit and veggies.DO NOT drink soda or alot of milk.stick to juice(with real sugar) and water.Do that and repeat for over a month and you’ll definitely see a difference

Charlie asks…
Best Plan for Weight Loss?
I am sixteen years old and have put on 10-15 pounds. I would really like to lose 10-15 pounds before March 1, 2010. I am a vegan, swimmer and runner. I would like to keep my vegan diet, but also lose the weight. My number one problem is overeating, especially high fat items like nuts. Please don’t judge me, but if anybody has an easy to follow meal plan that I can follow till March so that I can stay energized for my swim season and lose the 10-15 pounds fairly quickly, that would be heavily appreciated. I just want to be healthy, animal-kind, and happy. Thank you!

Admin answers:
When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
